Tooth pain doesn’t wait. Neither do we. Call now for same-day care. We reserve emergency slots every day for patients in pain.
Not all toothaches are equal. Some warrant a call right now; others can wait a few days. Understanding the likely cause helps you know how fast to act, but when in doubt, call us. We can assess over the phone.
A pus-filled infection at the root tip or in the gums. Signs include throbbing pain, facial swelling, fever, and a bad taste in your mouth. Abscesses can spread to the jaw, neck, or bloodstream if untreated. This is a dental emergency.
When decay reaches the inner pulp of the tooth, bacteria infect the nerve tissue. This causes severe, constant pain, often worse at night. A root canal removes the infected tissue and ends the pain. Delaying treatment risks abscess formation.
A crack can range from a hairline surface fracture to a split that extends into the root. Pain when biting is the hallmark sign. Cracks that reach the nerve require root canal treatment. Early evaluation prevents the crack from worsening.
Aching around multiple teeth, bleeding gums, or sensitivity to hot and cold may indicate gum disease or exposed root surfaces. These are not immediate emergencies, but should be evaluated soon to prevent progression and bone loss.
Root canals have an undeserved reputation. Modern root canal therapy is comfortable, effective, and often the only way to save a badly infected tooth. Here’s how to recognize the signs and what to expect.
We make getting out of pain as straightforward as possible. Here’s how a same-day emergency visit works from start to finish.
Call (480) 530-3663 or use our online form. Tell us you’re in pain. We’ll find you a same-day slot, usually within a few hours. We set aside emergency time every day for exactly this situation.
On arrival, we take targeted digital X-rays and examine the tooth in question. Within a few minutes we’ll know what we’re dealing with and explain exactly what’s causing your pain and what your options are. No surprises.
Whether your situation calls for a filling, crown, root canal, or extraction, we can handle most emergency procedures the same day. We get you out of pain before you leave the office. Sedation options are available if needed.
Dental anxiety is real, and it often keeps people in pain far longer than necessary. We have a board-certified dental anesthesiologist available to provide IV sedation for emergency procedures, so you can sleep through treatment entirely. Tell us when you call if this is a concern.
The cost depends entirely on what is causing the pain. We cannot give you a number without an exam, but here are honest ballpark ranges so you are not going in blind.
For small to moderate cavities that have not yet reached the nerve. The most affordable outcome when caught early.

Most toothaches are dental emergencies, not medical ones. But some symptoms require an ER visit, not a dentist. These red flags need immediate medical care.
This may indicate a spreading dental abscess. If untreated, these infections can become life-threatening.
Airway compromise from a dental infection is a medical emergency. Call 911 or go directly to the ER.
High fever suggests systemic infection. See a medical provider or ER alongside dental care.
Trismus (lockjaw) in the context of tooth pain can indicate a serious deep space infection requiring hospital treatment.
If you are not experiencing these red flags, call us. We offer same-day emergency dental appointments and will see you as quickly as possible. (480) 530-3663.
These measures can reduce discomfort while you wait. They are temporary, not a substitute for care. If pain intensifies or new symptoms appear, call us immediately.
400mg to 600mg every 6 to 8 hours with food is effective for dental pain. Do not exceed 3,200mg in 24 hours. Avoid if you have kidney issues, ulcers, or are on blood thinners. Do not take aspirin before extraction (increases bleeding).
Apply a small amount to a cotton ball and hold against the affected area for 15 to 20 seconds. Clove oil has natural anesthetic and antibacterial properties. Available at most pharmacies. Use sparingly, as it can irritate gum tissue if overused.
Apply a cold pack wrapped in a cloth to the cheek for 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Cold reduces swelling and numbs the area. Avoid heat. Warmth can increase blood flow to an already inflamed area and intensify pain.
Real patients. Real results. Unscripted.
